- Lake Pichola Udaipur
Lake Pichola is an artificial lake about 4km length and 3 km wide which was created in year 1362 AD by the local tribes also known as Banjara during the reign of Maharana Lakha to meet the need of drinking water and for irrigation purpose and to transport grain .Name Pichola is derived from the name of the same nearby village which surrounded the Lake “Picholi”.
Average depth of this lake is 4.32 meter (14.2 Ft) maximum depth 8.5 meter (about 28ft).
This Lake consist of Four island Jagniwas (also known as Pichola Palace Udaipur or Lake Palace Udaipur) and Jagmandir, Arsi Vilas and Mohan Mandir which was first built by Maharana Udai Singh II of Sisodia Rajput and thereby further developed by Maharana Karan Singh and his son Maharana Jagat singh.
2. Lake Palace – Jag Niwas

3. Jagmandir Island
Jagmandir Island is a palace situated in the Lake Pichola also known as “Lake garden palace”.
This palace was built by Maharana Karan Singh (One of the Maharanas of Sisodia Rajput’s of Mewar kingdom) in 1620 after Maharana Karana Singh, Maharana Jagat Singh continued the legacy and added more to this beautiful Jagmandir palace.

4. City Palace Udaipur
City palace Udaipur was built around 400 years ago by Maharana Udai Singh II when he escaped safely from chittorgarh, situated in the east bank of Lake Pichola became the former and last capital of Mewar. One can see a beautiful mix of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture here.
